Pain Management Acupuncture

Pain Management Acupuncture | Acupuncture RI - Providence

Pain management acupuncture has been one of my specialties since I opened Acupuncture RI. Having been an athlete myself, and having had my own shares of aches and pains, I cannot emphasize enough how much acupuncture has helped me time and again. I do not know where I would be today without acupuncture!

Pain management acupuncture started becoming popular in our Western culture due to its ability to provide tremendous relief without the side effects of medications. It helps with both acute and chronic pain.

People come to my clinic for many different types of pain. Back pain, neck pain, sports injuries, plantar fasciitis, migraines, Lyme Disease and fibromyalgia are among the types of ailments I work with regularly. It can take many sessions to help or just a few, depending on the individual patient and the particular condition. Oftentimes it provides instant pain relief and many of my migraine patients will call me when they are in the middle of a migraine to find instant relief.

Many patients come into my clinic after taking pain medications for years. In addition to treating the pain, I will often use acupuncture to detoxify the body of these medications and reduce withdrawal that they might otherwise feel if they were to try and come off of the medications without acupuncture.

I specialize in Lyme disease acupuncture to help reduce associated symptoms. Lyme patients can suffer from such a myriad of symptoms that there is no set protocol for each Lyme sufferer. We gear our treatment to the types of symptoms they are suffering from at the time, whether it be pain, neurological, insomnia, anxiety, and the list goes on. The disease will not be eliminated, but many Lyme patients find that they feel much better with acupuncture, whether or not they are pursuing Westerm allopathic medical treatment at the same time.

Give me a call and we can talk about your particular type of pain and we can decide if acupuncture is right for you!
